Founded in 1790 by people in the whaling industry, First Presbyterian Church was the first church in Hudson.
Over the years it drew distinguished congregants, including Martin Van Buren, eighth president of the United States, and Frederick Church of the Hudson River school of painting.
Now, the 135 members of First Presbyterian are celebrating the church's bicentennial.
