NSW: Overtime rorts going on for years: O'Farrell
New South Wales opposition leader BARRY O'FARRELL says the state government knew about
large overtime payments being paid to prison officers for years .. but failed to act.
Reforms to the state's prison system have been announced after it was found officers
were being paid 43-million dollars a year in overtime payments .. more than double the
amount budgeted.
Mr O'FARRELL says these problems were first identified four to five years ago and the
government promised to take action.
